Thanks for sharing the release date of the new book. I'm looking forward to reading it. You mention intention and it's one of the concepts I've been struggling with this year (I do the Chris Brogan exercise of "three words" yearly and "intention" is this year's first, followed by "connection" and "joy.").

Great POV. I recently wrote a similar missive, pointing out the beauty in these moments by realizing at some point we won't do them any longer. I even had a similar comparison to the early morning hockey practice ;)

Good one Tom! I've been thinking lately about the pros and cons of AI. A big problem with it is that it can only look to the past to make projections or recommendations. But humans constantly seek out the new and different, we crave change, and we dream up ways of enabling it! Not just regurgitated versions of what we've already seen and heard. That's the hidden weakness of both extensive planning and of AI as it applies to our most creative endeavors. The same inherent weakness applies to research and to polling, which we pay far too much attention to. And our world becomes visually and audibly more bland with every passing year that AI is involved in "content creation."

Inspiring words Tom. Thank you. Dr. Wayne Dyer said something similar on this subject. He said, “Get on purpose, get off outcome.” You share the why and how…

"Or you can sit alone on a bench and ride out your time. Or spend all of your time on one game that you don’t really like, trying to accumulate more tickets and prizes than everyone else. It’s a choice and it’s your choice, no one else’s." This is it! The secret, Our opportunity . As you pointed out we have a choice. "If we have courage" said the Lion.

Thanks, Tom. I did a blog about "wishing" this month and it seems to relate a bit to your thesis. You can read it here if interested: https://www.katyoberlecreative.com/blog/wishing
